6 - Introduction to reporting the approach
Introduction to the conduct of step 6: definitions, governance, requirements and deliverables.

The completion of the Bilan Carbone® approach enables the organisation to obtain:
Step 6.1: a results presentation the deliverables that constitute the Bilan Carbone® approach, whether intended for internal or external use.
Step 6.2: a compatibility of the Bilan Carbone® deliverables with other approaches
Step 6.3: a projection on the next steps of its journey of transition, in terms of renewal and continuous improvement
⏳[WIP] For information, an infographic will soon be inserted here to summarise the timeline of step 6.
Glossary related to the Results presentation
All terms related to the presentation steps are explained in the glossary. They are recalled below:
Results presentation: process of finalising the approach, including the preparation of deliverables, their presentation and their validation. The results presentation is also a phase of Stakeholder engagement.
Documentation: a process similar to the results presentation intended for internal use only. It aims at the continuous improvement of carbon accounting within the organisation. Documentation is useful for future handovers and renewals.
Deliverables: set of pieces, documents and information obtained at each stage of the approach, compiled for the Results presentation.
Compatibility: here the ability of the Bilan Carbone® to be used to meet other frameworks. The notion of “compatible with” does not guarantee reciprocity.
Framework: here refers to other methods, standards and regulations for carbon accounting or low-carbon transition approaches.
Governance related to the Results presentation
The governance of the accounting stage is part of the overall governance of the Bilan Carbone® approach presented previously.
The preparation of deliverables is the responsibility of the Bilan Carbone® coordinator, accompanied by the project team.
The validation of deliverables depends on the organisation's maturity level (either by the person in charge of coordination, or by management).
Stakeholder engagement related to the Results presentation
A Stakeholder engagement action takes place during step 6. It aims at empowerment, presentation and communication around the results and the finalisation of the approach. It is included in the scheduling of Stakeholder engagement phases presented previously.
Requirements related to the Results presentation
As a reminder, here is the summary of requirements and recommendations, for each maturity level. These criteria are explained in detail in the following sub-sections.
Deliverables related to the Results presentation
The information and deliverables obtained at the end of the approach are the subject of this section 6. They are presented in the next section.
