How to choose a dedicated evaluation team? Which deliverables are necessary for the evaluation?

Composition of the evaluation team for a Bilan Carbone®
The organisation is responsible for contacting an evaluator, who acts alone or forms an evaluation team. The list of trained and certified evaluators is available in thedirectory of ABC.
The entire evaluation team is trained in the Bilan Carbone® method and all its members must belong to organisations affiliated to ABC. It is led by an evaluation project lead who is, in addition, trained and certified for the evaluation of assessments. In addition, if the organisation wishes to obtain its evaluation attestation with limited assurance, it may request the participation of a chartered accountant in the assessment evaluation assignment.
It is important to respect the concepts of impartiality and independence of the people involved in the evaluation of assessments with regard to those who carried out those assessments. ABC must be informed of any conflict of interest for the evaluation of a Bilan Carbone®.

Prepare the supporting documents for the evaluation
Section 6.1 details the Bilan Carbone® deliverables, and the supporting documents required for the evaluation.
Among these deliverables is the self assessment report completed by the organisation prior to the evaluation. This is done by following the instructions of the guide for the evaluation of a Bilan Carbone® and by completing the blank report found in the annex. This will notably allow to:
Better know what to expect in the case of a first evaluation
Properly prepare all evidence or additional documents required for the evaluation
Correct any possible error preventing the assessment from being verified and validated
In addition, certain supporting documents remain valid for several years and carrying out a Bilan Carbone® approach on a regular basis (in particular for high maturity levels) should not force the organisation to systematically repeat reflections whose conclusions remain relevant. The evaluator therefore has a validity range for certain deliverables:
Deliverables No. 16 to 19 : The action plan and their quantifications, the objectives of the transition plan as well as its trajectory, remain valid for a period of 2 years. However, it is necessary to keep the monitoring of the transition plan up to date;
Deliverable No. 9 for an Advanced level: The risk analysis remains valid for a period of 10 years ;
Deliverable No. 10 : The whole Stakeholder engagement approach and the actions carried out remain valid for a period of 2 years ;
