* March 2026: Update of the PDF summary of the method in [section 0.3](/methode-bilan-carbone-r-en/introduction-to-bilan-carbone-r/0.3-method-summary.md#synthese-telechargeable-de-la-methode-bilan-carbone-r) with the new Bilan Carbone® logos
* January 2026: Addition of a comparative table between the Bilan Carbone® category nomenclature and the GHG-Protocol category nomenclature in [section 4.5](/methode-bilan-carbone-r-en/4-accounting/4.5-emission-profile.md). As well as a fix for a reported bug concerning the comparative table between the Bilan Carbone® category nomenclature and the BEGES-R and ISO 14064-1 category nomenclature.
* January 2026: Addition in [section 5](/methode-bilan-carbone-r-en/5-transition-plan/5-introduction-to-the-transition-plan.md) of the concept of a top-down pathway and its use within the Bilan Carbone®. Further detail on the steps mentioned for building transition plans.
* January 2026: Addition to the glossary of the following definitions: "[Overshoot](/methode-bilan-carbone-r-en/appendices/glossary.md#overshoot)", "[Carbon budget](/methode-bilan-carbone-r-en/appendices/glossary.md#budget-carbone)", "[Carbon neutrality](/methode-bilan-carbone-r-en/appendices/glossary.md#neutralite-carbone)" and "[Top-down and bottom-up pathways](/methode-bilan-carbone-r-en/appendices/glossary.md#trajectoire-de-transition)"
* January 2026: Correction of typographical errors

* August 2025: Addition of clarifications on the result of an evaluation and how it is communicated, in [section 7.3](/methode-bilan-carbone-r-en/7-evaluation-and-quality-of-bilan-carbone-r/7.3-evaluation-result.md).
* August 2025: Modification of [section 7.2](/methode-bilan-carbone-r-en/7-evaluation-and-quality-of-bilan-carbone-r/7.2-the-evaluation-process.md) to limit it to a brief explanation of the evaluation process, referring to the dedicated guide for further details.
* August 2025: Modification of [section 7.1](/methode-bilan-carbone-r-en/7-evaluation-and-quality-of-bilan-carbone-r/7.1-prepare-the-evaluation-of-its-assessment.md), previously devoted to defining the evaluation team and now relating to the preparation of the evaluation by the organisation wishing to have its assessment evaluated.
* June 2025: Addition of a batch of infographics in sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 as well as in subsections 1.2, 2.4, 4.5, 5.3, 6.2 and in appendix 1.
* January 2025: Addition of an [appendix 5](/methode-bilan-carbone-r-en/appendices/appendices/appendix-5-specific-features-for-local-authorities-and-associations.md) dedicated to the specific features of a Bilan Carbone® approach for associations.
* January 2025: Change of the name of a subcategory "*Building waste*" to "*Material waste*" in the Waste category, in [appendix 1](/methode-bilan-carbone-r-en/appendices/appendices/appendix-1-main-accounting-principles-of-bilan-carbone-r.md#dechets-directs) and in the associated infographics (figure [2.4](/methode-bilan-carbone-r-en/2-scope-of-the-approach/2.4-operational-boundary.md) and [4.5](/methode-bilan-carbone-r-en/4-accounting/4.5-emission-profile.md)).
