This page records the versions and changes made to the Bilan Carbone® Methodological Guide. This method evolves as progress is made in carbon accounting.
The Bilan Carbone® methodological guide is currently in its version 9 - July 2024.
Here is the history and change log:
Version 9 - July 2024 : publication
October 2024: Addition of a correspondence table between Bilan Carbone® and CSRD in section 6.2.
October 2024: Addition of a downloadable summary of the method in PDF format.
December 2024: Addition of a correspondence table between Bilan Carbone® and Diag Décarbon'Action in section 6.2.
October 2024 - January 2025: Enrichment of the FAQ section.
January 2025: Addition of a maturity questionnaire (help to determine an organisation's maturity level upstream of the approach), in section 1.1.
January 2025: Addition of an annex 5 dedicated to the specifics of a Bilan Carbone® approach for associations.
June 2025: Addition of a set of infographics in sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 as well as in subsections 1.2, 2.4, 4.5, 5.3, 6.2 and in annex 1.
August 2025: Modification of the section 7.1, previously devoted to defining the evaluation team and now relating to the preparation of the evaluation by the organisation wishing to have its assessment evaluated.
August 2025: Modification of the section 7.2 in order to be limited to a brief explanation of the evaluation process, referring to the dedicated guide for more details.
August 2025: Addition of clarifications on the result of an evaluation and how it is communicated, in section 7.3.
